The first CMC model with a fine cast copper alloy body
The picture shows a first sample of the copper fine cast technology used for the first time at CMC for body parts.
In 1966, Ferrari launched a new competition version of the 275 GTB and designated this series as 275 GTB/C. Chassis 09067 was the ninth of twelve Ferrari 275 GTB/C cars built by the racing department of Ferrari at Maranello.
Though built for racing, Chassis 09067 is one of the two 275 GTB/C cars that has never seen the rigor of wheel-to-wheel competition. Consequently this 275 GTB/C car is fitted with cast-aluminum wheels and Pirelli tires instead of Borrani wire wheels and Dunlop tires. Otherwise, it has everything that is characteristic of the 275 GTB/C – from a 590A tubular chassis, lightweight aluminum body panels, FISPA air cleaner, and fiberglass-reinforced rear section to a 3,286 cc V-12 engine with 3 Weber 40DF13 carburetors.
CMC will replicate this star of many historic rallies in its original livery with black leather and cloth seats that are rarely seen on Ferrari GTB/C cars.
