M-117 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, 1955 Mille Miglia. #658, Limited Ed. 2,000 pcs
At 6:58 on the morning of May 1, 1955, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with starting
number 658 (starting number = starting time) left the launch pad in Brescia, with Juan Manuel Fangio behind its wheel to attempt the 22nd championship of the 1,600 km-long Mille Miglia.
Owing to his prudent driving style and outstanding skills, Fangio crossed the finish
line in Brescia just next to the winning champion Stirling Moss (also on a Mercedes-Benz SLR). CMC has replicated the original J.M. Fangio’s car down to the smallest detail in a limited edition of 2,000 units worldwide.
